7 months!

Holy moly! Jackson is 7 months old today! He's growing and changing so much, practically on a daily basis it seems! He's such a little character and I love his sweet and spunky personality. He can be a moody boy occasionally but for the most part he's a happy little guy!

No well checks until 9 months so I don't know his weight or his height. But he's growing out of his 9 month pants. He just moved up into 9 month pjs and he's been in 9 month clothes for awhile now. Most 9 month onesies for great, 12 month onesies are too big, but 12 month pants fit better then 9 month pants. He's in size 3 up&up diapers and size 4 pampers extra absorbency for night time.

I'm no longer pumping and he's mainly getting boob and not bottles! He occasionally gets a bottle when were out shopping. I was worried that he wouldn't sleep through the night if we dropped the bedtime bottle, but it's been ok. He's woken up at 10pm and 11pm a few nights but last night he slept from 7:30 to about 6am. Sometimes he sleeps until 7 am but usually it's closer to 6:30 when he wakes up. He'll usually lay in his crib and move around and "talk" for a little bit before he starts fussing. I try to leave him in there until as close to 7 am as I can but once he starts getting upset I go get him. He takes a morning nap from 8:30-10 and a mid day nap from around 12:30-2:30 or 1-3. He was taking a short 30 minute evening nap at 5 but he isn't seeming to need that anymore, but then he's too tired at bedtime and falls asleep eating, hence the waking up at 10 or 11 pm. But I figure he'll get used to it. Last night I just woke him up when he fell asleep eating and he ate more and then slept fine.

He's recently gotten pretty attached to this little toy tiger he has. We call him Tiberius Tiger. He sleeps with him and loves to play with him. I figure I should probably get another one just in case something happens to him. I found a website that sells it and I'll have to order one.
Here's him and Tiberius:

He's working on picking things up with his fingers! He's getting pretty good at it too! I usually put some puffs on his tray at least once a day for him to practice. He likes them ok, but he LOVES the gerber lil crunchies! He also loves chunks of frozen fruit in the silicone feeder thing! He's also gotten really good at drinking out of his sippy cup!

He loves playing on the floor with his toys now and can roll all over the place!

We celebrates St. Patricks day and I made him a cute onesie:

We got him a bean bag chair at target:

And we are looking at, and planning to buy soon, a big boy car seat!

He also got his first owie that required a bandaid. Josh was holding him and he was touching Josh's beer can and then put his finger in it and got a cut :(
Can't really see the bandaid in the pics. Luckily it stopped bleeding and didn't need a bandaid at bedtime because it would be a chocking hazard. Josh felt SO bad.

He also went to his first party! Boston's 1st birthday party. He was tired so he wasn't his usual happy self but he was still good! And he wore a cute new (size 12 month!) onesie!

Pancakes!

On Sunday my mom and I went to ikea and we decided to eat in the restaurant there before shopping. They had a breakfast buffet so we got that. I was feeding J has baby food while eating my food and I had gotten some French toast sticks and let him try a small bite. He loved them! So now I need to figure out how to make French toast.

Then on Tuesday we went to costco and one of the samples they were giving out was a pancake and syrup. So I let him try the pancake (without syrup) and he loved it. I had an aha moment and realized I can make him pancakes at home! So yesterday morning I made up a batch of pancakes with our box mix from trader joes. I made small pancakes and then just give him one torn into tiny bites. He loves it! And he's getting so much better with getting small bites from the tray to his mouth!

I put the rest into a freezer bag and into the freezer and just heat up one at a time in the microwave!

I need to find more finger foods for him!

Staying or going?

When Josh took the job here in Utah we were told it would be for the long run. Like 10-15+ years. We'd settle down and buy a house here, we'd raise our children here. Well things might be changing. The company that his company works for is changing their structure and they may or may not choose his company to take over his division. Right now the work is done by a few different companies, like Josh's, and they are going to one source. Which means that they will select one company for each division. If his company gets this division they will hopefully give him a promotion and this division. They potentially could bring in someone above him and that would suck. He works and deserves to move up. The work load would majorly multiply. But if his company doesn't get this division we will be moving. He asked me last night if I would be open to moving, he thinks potentially Colorado, Arizona or Texas if they don't get this division. Of course I'll go wherever we need to go. He should find out sometime at the end if May beginning of June. I wouldn't mind moving to another state and I wouldn't mind staying here. Moving wise it would be much easier to stay here. If we stay here we will be selling our house and buying a new house that better fits the needs of our growing family and my moms needs with her living with us. Her and already look at houses here and can't wait to be able to start looking for real! And to know where we are going to be. Moving out of state would be hard, just the whole aspect of selling our house and moving to a new state, because josh will probably have to be their pretty quickly and we'd still have to sell our house. Thankfully I have my mom!

There's always a chance he could get an offer to go back to CA and I would love that. It would have to be quite an offer with a large pay increase for us to be able to afford to live in CA so I really don't see that happening. I really miss my friends and family and it's really hard raising J away from them. It makes me sad that his birthdays and Christmas's won't be celebrated there with everyone.

It's hard not knowing where we will be in a few months, but it's also exciting. Change is scary, but good!

I'm hoping and praying for the best! Hoping good changes will be happening for a little family!

Bikini body mommy 90 day challenge!

I heard about this challenge online and started it last week. I did day 1 which was a fit test where you just do each exercise for 50 seconds to see how many you can do to compare to at the end. It killed me. My legs were SO sore. So I waited until today (Monday) to start day 2. I stretched today so hopefully that will help with soreness. Anyways here's a pic of me and little J after my workout:

I figure taking a pic on day 1 will help me see the changes, even though it's not a whole body pic. I'm hoping to be proud of a new pic like this at the end instead of embarrassed like I am of this one!

The little gym

Today we went and did a free trial class at The Little Gym here in utah! Wow. It's been like 8 years since I worked at The Little Gym in CA and it was so different being on the other side, there as a parent with my baby! Jackson LOVED the class! He had such a great time! Smiling and laughing the whole time! Except when the teacher did forward rolls with him. He cried. I think it was doing something new and different and seeing her face after he flipped over that upset jinx I gave him a snuggle and he was happy again! There where 3 other babies and mommies in the class and he loved watching the other babies. We are going to sign up next week for the rest of this semester, it's through June 7, so about 15 classes. I think it'll be really good for him! And for me to get to talk to other moms with babies his age!

And after class he was so tired he passed out within 5 minutes of being in the car:
